“Hi Anna, Just want to say that I was encouraged and strengthened by yesterday’s final session. I came with an extremely heavy heart because of some conversations that I overheard about me, and I was haunted by my past. I was feeling worthless, and the idea that went into my head was that I’ll never be a good wife to anyone, let alone ever marry. But the last session really spoke to me personally, and at the altar, there was such an intimate moment with God where He dealt with exactly what I had been going through and healed my heart. I am able to leave at the [foot] of the cross something I’ve been carrying for 3 years. All along, no matter what, I’ve found it hard to let go. Three years ago, I was raped by a friend. For the longest time, I was in denial and in shame, though I’ve dealt with it at altar calls many times. But yesterday, God spoke to me directly about how my past does not define me, which my family was doing yesterday… Thank you, Anna, for yesterday. Praise God.”
