Historic Graduation Marks
Growing Impact in Zambia's Prisons
By the grace of God, Joshua Nations Zambia successfully conducted another historic prison graduation ceremony on May 15, 2026, at the Kabwe Male Medium and Kabwe Female Maximum Correctional Facilities under the leadership of Apostle Andrew Mwaba, National Prison Coordinator.
This graduation marked a powerful moment of transformation, restoration, and hope within the correctional system. A total of 110 inmates graduated from the Joshua Nations Bible Training Program, with 47 female inmates and 63 male inmates receiving Certificates and Diplomas after successfully completing their studies.
Among the female graduates were eight inmates serving life imprisonment sentences due to murder charges. Seeing these women transformed through the Word of God was a strong testimony that no situation is beyond the reach of God’s mercy and power. The prison environment that was once filled with hopelessness is gradually becoming a place of spiritual growth, healing, leadership, and purpose.
The impact of this program continues to produce lasting results beyond prison walls. From last year’s graduation, where more than 70 inmates graduated, we have received encouraging reports that:
• 19 former inmates have now been accepted and integrated into their respective churches.
• Five have been ordained by their church leaders into ministry.
• Two are currently leading churches and ministering to others.
• Six graduates have been admitted into various universities using Joshua Nations certification to pursue degree programs.
These testimonies prove that transformation through spiritual education is possible and that inmates can become productive and influential members of society after rehabilitation.
In addition to inmate training, Joshua Nations has also trained 18 prison officers since last year, strengthening the relationship between correctional services and spiritual rehabilitation programs. This has helped create a supportive environment for both officers and inmates to experience personal and spiritual development.
Our greatest joy is not merely in conducting graduations, but in witnessing transformed lives. Nothing compares to seeing a former prisoner released from incarceration and become an agent of transformation in society because they themselves were transformed by the power of God.
Joshua Nations remains committed to raising disciples, leaders, and reformers even in the most difficult places. We sincerely appreciate the Zambia Correctional Service leadership, officers in charge, chaplains, partnering churches, and all stakeholders who continue to support this vision of restoration and rehabilitation.

A Look at the Numbers
In Africa, it costs an average of just $25.61 to train one student through our two-year Bible Training Centers (BTCs). At the recent prison BTC graduation in Zambia, 110 students graduated, representing a total training investment of just $2,871.10 over two years.
What does that mean for you? It means that fully funding a Bible Training Center is more attainable than many people realize.
• If you give $25 per month, you would fully fund a BTC in 114.8 months.
• If you give $50 per month, it would take just 57.4 months.
• If you give $125 per month, you would fund it nearly in real time at 22.9 months.
• If you give $500 per month, it would pay for the school in only 5.7 months.
• If you and a friend each give $200 per month, together you would fully fund a BTC in just 7.2 months.
The Kingdom advances quicker when we work together. Resources stretch further, awareness reaches farther, and the Great Commission mandate is fulfilled more efficiently.
