A Transformative Journey in Chad: Reaching Every Village with the Gospel
The past few days have been extraordinary as leaders, missionaries, and local churches in Chad united to
advance the Gospel. From impactful workshops to an unexpected surge of missionaries, this journey has
been a powerful reminder of God’s work when His people come together.
Overcoming Unexpected Challenges
The conference began with an unexpected challenge, as most of the leadership team, including the U.S.
Team and denominational leaders, were delayed due to a canceled flight caused by a jet fuel shortage.
Forced to take an 18-hour bus ride, they arrived a day late. Despite their absence, the local leaders
pressed on, ensuring the conference’s first day proceeded successfully. This adaptability set the tone for a
conference filled with resilience and purpose.
Equipping Leaders for Evangelism
On the first day, local participants engaged in discussions on best practices for evangelism tailored to the
region’s unique challenges. These sessions inspired and empowered attendees to effectively share the
message of hope within their communities, setting the stage for the leadership team’s arrival.
Discipleship, Partnership, and Unity
The second day focused on discipleship, partnership, and unity—key elements for sustainable Gospel work.
These foundational practices ensure that evangelism efforts not only plant seeds but nurture lasting
spiritual growth. The sessions underscored the importance of cross-denominational collaboration,
demonstrating how unity in Christ amplifies impact.
A Data-Driven Mission
After lunch, leaders presented collaborated data outlining the mission field. This strategic approach
identifies unreached villages and provides a roadmap for evangelism and church planting. It’s a shared
vision grounded in collaboration and purpose.
Witnessing Unity in Action
One of the most inspiring moments has been seeing unity in action. The U.S. team, including members
from COTW (CRU, City for the Nations, and Joshua Nations), worked alongside three denominational
association presidents—Evangelical, Pentecostal, and Baptist. Their collective commitment highlights the
power of partnership in advancing the Gospel.
God’s Abundant Provision
Originally, the conference planned to train 50-75 missionaries. Instead, over 100 missionaries and
engagers from the region showed up, eager to participate. This overwhelming response reflects the hunger
for the Gospel and the dedication of local believers. Remarkably, Chad’s denominations committed to
sponsoring 50 missionaries, ensuring the resources needed to continue this vital work.
A Call to Action
Reflecting on the incredible work in Chad, we’re reminded of the importance of partnership and support.
The journey is just beginning. Together, we can equip leaders, plant churches, and bring the Gospel to
unreached places.
