About Us
Training the Next Generation of Church Leaders
Joshua Nations began in the heart of Dr. Russ & Lana Frase & was founded in 2005. Through a series of miraculous events, the Lord provided the original CURRICULUM, international contacts, & financial support to launch into the nations. Since 2005, the vision has expanded into Africa, Asia, Latin America, & Europe. We are still working today to refine our program, curriculum, & initiatives to be effective in the ever-changing world. With the help of the Holy Spirit, our international network of leaders & full-time team, the Lord has expanded our reach into more than 80 nations.
Our Vision and Mission Mandate.
Over 90% of church leaders in the world have no formal training. Through this deficit, the global church is unequipped to finish the Great Commission. Joshua Nations utilizes a variety of methods and tools to equip and release leaders to fulfill their role in the Great Commission.
Our goal is to see men and women armed with a solid foundation based on the Word of God. It is these leaders who partner with God to feed the hungry, heal the sick, and free the captives in their own nations. Our vision is large, but our approach is simple. Utilizing Joshua Nations Bible Training Centers and our Church Multiplication training, we have seen regions and nations transformed.
Today after 2,000 years of Christendom, there are still over 7,219 people groups that are considered UNREACHED. This equates to 42% of the global population or 3.44 Billion People.
Our mandate is to disciple and equip the body of Christ to take ownership of the Great Commission in their nations first, and then to reach close proximity people groups in neighboring nations. We believe that the Great Commission can and will be completed in our lifetime. We believe that the task of reaching all people groups will be completed by the indigenous church!
Core Values
Love
Without love we are nothing. Jesus is love manifested, and therefore our responsibility is to exhibit and operate in love at all times. It was love that saved us, set us free, called us, and commissioned us. Love is the reason we obey the call of the Great Commission and a life of obedience to Jesus. (1 Corinthians 13)
Relationship
All ministry objectives are developed through relationships with trusted partners and national leaders. These relationships are built upon the expectation of love, integrity, and faithfulness to Jesus. Relationships are bridges to nations, peoples, and finishing the tasks of the Great Commission. (Ephesians 4:2-3; Hebrews 10:24-25)
Great Commission
As followers of Christ, our responsibility is to carry out the commands of Jesus. The Great Commission has been on God’s heart since creation. Scripture gives us glimpses of it, but it becomes clear when Jesus commands His followers to go and preach the Gospel of the Kingdom. (Matthew 28:18-20)
Spirit Led
Acts 1:8 promises that the power of the Holy Spirit is available to followers of Christ. In addition to His empowerment for ministry, He promises to lead and guide us in a personal way. Being led by the Spirit is not for personal interpretation outside the boundaries of Scripture. He does, however, continue to speak to us today and give us direction for ministry. (Romans 8:14; Psalm 143:10; Galatians 5:16)
Strategic
When presented with obstacles and barriers that hinder growth and the expansion of the Gospel, we look for opportunities to develop plans and strategies that lead to breakthrough. Being led by the Spirit, we seek innovative and creative solutions. (Proverbs 21:5; Proverbs 16:3; Amos 3:7)
Integrity
Entrusted to every believer are gifts, talents, and resources. Joshua Nations makes every attempt to be the best steward of all that God entrusts to us. Through Joshua Nations training, we emphasize that believers in the global church must come to a Biblical understanding and practice of stewardship. This promotes faith, financial growth, and self-sustainability. Stewardship goes beyond responsibility and carries onward to Spirit-led generosity. (Colossians 3:23-24, 1 Peter 4:10)
Statement of Faith
- We believe the Bible is the divinely inspired, infallible, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God.
- We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- We believe in the virgin birth of the Lord Jesus Christ, His deity, His sinless humanity, the eternal and all-sufficiency of His atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the Father’s right hand, and His future return to this earth in power and glory.
- We believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit who convicts, baptizes, indwells, enlightens and empowers believers for godly living and imparts spiritual gifts for the edification of the Body of Christ.
- We believe in the resurrection of the human body and the eternal existence of all people in heaven or hell.
Financial Stewardship
Joshua Nations ministry is made possible by generous donors and churches. Because of this, we know that our stewardship of these gifts is critical. Our goal is to see every donor dollar go as far as possible for the Glory of God and to have transparency and accountability to keep us on the right path. We also follow these practices:
- Joshua Nations is reviewed annually and certified by the ECFA (Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability).
- Joshua Nations adheres to a Board-approved annual budget, ensuring Joshua Nations remains debt-free.
- Joshua Nations demonstrates a commitment to the broader ministry of global missions by consistently supporting other ministries and missionaries.
- Joshua Nations protects the privacy of each donor and does not sell or share any donor information.
- Joshua Nations acknowledges each donation via email and provides an annual consolidated receipt.
- Joshua Nations ensures prompt payment of all bills.
Joshua Nations exists to train and equip the next generation of church leaders, regardless of denomination

We need help from partners all around the world, in prayer and support. It is because of our partners we are able to offer our two-year curriculum for free.
Every step of the way, God has always been faithful to provide what was needed – through the generosity of others and through miraculous provision. Our supporters are essential; we would not be able to operate without the generosity and tenacity of those who give, pray, and share the vision.
Our Ministries
Prayer Movement
We know prayer works.
Prayer is a pivotal part in the daily walk of a believer. We are so thankful for the people who pray for our ministry. We know that the prayers of the saints are what has opened up new doors in nations for us to minister.
We are raising up a prayer army.
Our goal is to raise up 1,000 or more prayer warriors who contend for the completion of the Great Commission. You can join us by signing up for a 30 minute prayer slot – this can be scheduled as one-time, or recurring on your selected schedule.
