Dr. James Chacko, Ph. D.
Director of Strategies & Initiatives
James was born in 1967 into one of the founding families of the Church movement in Kerala, South India. Sensing the call of God at a very young age, he began preaching at the age of 17 and spent 11 years in five Colleges and Universities both in India and Australia leading to degrees of Masters and Doctorate in Theology and Philosophy.
James is thankful to his spiritual mentor Late Dr. P. J. Titus, Founder of Christ for India, for his early years of ministry training and preparation. From 1993 to 2001 James served as the Principal of COTR Theological Seminary, Visakhapatnam, India. From 2001 to 2004 he served as the Administrator of CFI, and pioneered an urban church called CityLight in the city of Chandigarh, India.
In 2005 James founded the LifeBridge Ministries with the vision of igniting exponential Kingdom movements among the world’s largest unreached region of North India and South Asia through its multifaceted ministries. He also served with Global Advance SAARC Initiative as its Field Director from 2005-2022. He also completed his Ph.D. through the Centre for Religious Studies at Punjabi University, India in 2012. He has authored various academic and inspirational articles, published books including his work featured in “The Encyclopaedia of Christian Civilisation (Vol. 1:A-D) published by Wiley-Blackwell, U.K. ©2011. With excellent communication skills and depth of knowledge and experience James travels widely around the world as a visiting faculty and guest speaker at colleges, churches and mission conferences. As a family, they have pioneered a second growing urban church in the city of Chandigarh called LifeBridge since 2009. James and his wife Usha are blessed with two children, Dawn and David
